Better hunspell-la

The hunspell -la source files included with Fedora 36 provide 2 spelling alternatives.

  1. classical

  2. universal

However Fedora only installs the 'universal' variant. The user does not have the possibility of using the 'classical' spelling variant.

This version of hunspell-la installs the two spelling variants and incorporates the 'alternatives' utility. This allows the user to easily switch between the variants.

2. Installation

  1. Install the repo and update:

dnf copr install boydkelly/hunspell-la
dnf update/install hunspell-la

  1. Use the alternatives command to select the spelling variants.

allternatives --config hunspell-la

This will present you with a list where you can choose the spelling variant for the specified locale.

There are 3 programs which provide 'hunspell-fr_CA'.
